The three little kittens, having lost their mittens and denied dinner, are sent to bed. From their window they spot the Milky Way and, using a basket lifted by helium balloons, embark on a fanciful ascent. They drift past imaginative celestial bodies until they arrive at a Milky Way overflowing with every conceivable variety of milk.
