Fred agrees because Chief Boulder of the Secret Service asks him to take Rock Slag's place for a secret meeting in Paris. Fred believes he's simply going on an all-expense-paid vacation to Eurock with his family, not realizing he's actually being recruited as a secret agent. The promise of a free trip motivates him to go along with the plan.
