After watching the launch of a new space platform, Lloyd Cramden, the Z.O.W.I.E. chief, teams up with U.S. President Trent for a casual round of golf. Their game is interrupted by the mysterious Fabulous Face organization, which overpowers them, abducts Cramden, and replaces the real president with a convincingly altered impersonator. The aim is to steer the world from behind a veil of female leadership, and their first bold move is to seize a US space facility in the Virgin Islands. To mask their operation, they set up a spa nearby, establishing their headquarters just outside the rocket base and secretly slipping hair-dryer tapes to brainwash their own followers. The tension tightens as the clock seems to run against them, and a three-minute time discrepancy noted during the switch becomes a glimmer of the conspiracy’s truth.

Pushed by the mystery, Cramden seeks out his former ally, Derek Flint. In New York, he’s ushered to a trio of women who guide him to the resourceful ex-agent. The path to answers is dangerous and layered, and the case quickly widens beyond a simple impersonation. Inside this web, Lisa Norton, a Fabulous Face operative, manipulates the three women into a visit to the spa, tightening the trap around the would-be reformer. Later, at an Italian restaurant, Norton confronts Cramden, disguises herself as a southern tourist, and administers euphoric acid—a soporific that leads to a staged scandal with a prostitute in a hotel. The fabricated scene is then released to the press under the watchful eye of General Carter, tying Cramden to a libertine image and effectively suspending him from active duty.

Derek Flint steps into the breach, using his signature watch to hypnotize Cramden and extract the disturbing truths. He infiltrates the secretive Z.O.W.I.E. complex and uncovers a startling revelation: the astronauts on the newly launched space platform are not American at all, but Russian female cosmonauts. The delicate web begins to unravel as Flint is interrupted by General Carter and a band of turncoat guards who, in a grim moment, believe they have killed him when he disappears into an incinerator. Yet Flint survives, slipping away to pursue the truth with renewed determination.

The investigation carries Flint across continents, including a daring venture to the Soviet Union. In Moscow, he moves through the Bolshoi ballet and encounters Natasha, a ballerina who is secretly a Fabulous Face operative. She aims to drug him with euphoric acid, but Flint foils her plans and presses for information, only to be intercepted by the KGB who want to take him to the Soviet Premier. He evades capture and then slips into the Kremlin, where he overhears the Premier bluffing about the fake U.S. President; the clues point back toward the spa as the epicenter of the conspiracy.

Back at the spa, Cramden becomes a prisoner with the real President, and the Fabulous Face leadership begins to tighten the noose. The female operatives have already sealed away many of their male counterparts in cryogenic chambers, waiting for the moment their plan can unfold. Flint, re-entering the fray, boards a Cuba-bound flight disguised as a revolutionary, creates a dramatic distraction, parachutes into the Virgin Islands, and swims to the Fabular Face complex. There, he is confronted by Norton, who guides him to the leadership chamber, only to face a confrontation with Carter’s men. A fierce struggle follows, and Flint is captured again, along with Cramden, the President, and the Fabulous Face leadership, all sealed in cryogenic suspension in anticipation of further moves.

Flint’s escape marks a turning point as he allies with the women to thwart Carter’s plans. He breaks free, chooses to join the women in stopping Carter’s attempt to arm the space station with atomic warheads, and a tense assault ensues. The group makes their way to the base just in time to seize the control room, seducing and subduing the male guards. Carter, who has boarded the rocket, threatens to unleash the weapons unless he is granted control. Flint hijacks the capsule, and a brutal struggle unfolds in orbit. He ultimately overpowers Carter, who is trapped as the capsule is destroyed by a missile fired from the surface. Drifting away from the burning wreck, Flint finds a safe haven on a nearby space platform and, surrounded by the cosmonauts who had once seemed adversaries, awaits the return to Earth.

In the end, the combined effort of Flint, Cramden, the genuine President, and the women of Fabulous Face halts the threat and restores balance. What began as a brazen attempt to rewrite world power ends with a hard-won victory on land and in space, where ingenuity, courage, and a willingness to work with unexpected allies turn the tide.
