Allan Campbell, an engineer in Spokane, experiences the worst day of his life after being passed over for a promotion. He comes home to find his wife Sydney in the arms of his best friend Mike Dodd, doubling the humiliation. Complicating matters, his shady business partner Dom Estacado continues to threaten and manipulate him, setting a turbulent stage for what follows.

While drowning his sorrows at a local bar, Allan meets a stranger named Jonas Arbor who seems to understand his pain.
