On the bustling streets, Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit and a streetwise newspaper seller, hears a distress call that pulls him toward a nearby house. He peeks through a window and discovers a large, turbulent bear interrogating a small girl about where the money is hidden. Oswald tries to step in and intervene, but he’s easily pushed aside as the bear looms over the scene. The girl refuses to tell, and the bear pivots his attention toward an old lynx who serves as the girl’s grandfather.

From the street, Oswald goes to the police station to seek help, hoping the authorities will act. Inside the house, the bear turns to the lynx for answers about the money, but the old feline refuses as well. Frustrated, the bear slaps the lynx three times and steps on his feet in a display of menace. The tension climbs as the bear ties the girl to a piece of lumber and proceeds to place it in a path where a fan acts as a dangerous buzz saw, threatening to cut the girl loose from any safety she might find.

Oswald, meanwhile, leads the cops, but the group becomes distracted and veers off to eat at a restaurant, leaving Oswald behind and late to the rescue. The lynx finally capitulates, and the bear immediately uncovers a sack of cash that had been hidden within the lynx’s beard. With a quick turn, Oswald returns to the house, only to find the bear has already pushed him aside and vanished. Undeterred, Oswald stops the fan, frees the girl, and discovers a car waiting outside the girl’s house, which he uses to make his escape.

The bear’s next move is to take to the sky in a nearby aircraft, kicking the pilot out as the plane revs to life. As the plane begins to climb, Oswald clings to its tail, refusing to surrender. The bear attempts to sever Oswald’s grip by sawing the plane’s tail, but Oswald survives by improvising a new aircraft—he turns two exclamation marks above his head into a makeshift propeller and spins into action. In a new twist, the bear dumps a sack full of monkeys onto Oswald’s improvised craft, hoping to overwhelm him.

Yet the monkeys align with Oswald, and together they fight back to reclaim the money. They return to the bear’s plane, overpower the villain, and recover the cash. As Oswald makes a perilous jump toward the ground, his parachute refuses to deploy, leaving him in a tense freefall. High above, the girl and the lynx look up and spot him; they use the lynx’s long beard to cushion his fall, turning a near disaster into a narrow, comic victory. In the end, Oswald and the girl share a tender moment—a kiss—before the day’s chaos finally settles.
