Sylvester’s sharp eyes spot Tweety through the binoculars from the Bird-Watchers’ Society office, tucked away in the Broken Arms Apartment Building. The clever cat’s ears perk up as Tweety merrily exclaims his classic catchphrase, > “I taw I saw a puddy tat!” This playful proclamation reveals that Sylvester is indeed on the prowl. With excitement bubbling within him, he rushes to the building, only to be halted by a strict guard enforcing a no-cats-or-dogs rule. Nevertheless, Sylvester is not one to give up easily; he decides to take matters into his own paws by scaling the drainpipe, while Tweety remains blissfully oblivious to the imminent pursuit.

After locating his avian target, Sylvester watches as Tweety breaks free from his cage and begins a spirited dance around the room. However, Granny, Tweety’s kind-hearted owner, steps in to thwart Sylvester’s plans with a swift flick of her wrist, sending him flying out the window. Yet, undaunted by this setback, Sylvester is quick to regroup and attempts to scale the drainpipe once again. In a twist of fate, Tweety smartly drops a hefty bowling ball on him, causing Sylvester to crash into Champin’s Bowling Alley, much to his chagrin as the pins scatter around him.

His embarrassment is short-lived as Sylvester’s attention shifts to a street performer across the way—a monkey that has captured the audience’s delight with its antics. Seizing this golden opportunity, Sylvester lures the monkey away, cleverly camouflaging himself with a disguise that allows him to sneak into Granny’s room unnoticed. However, despite his efforts at stealth, Granny’s sharp gaze detects his ruse when he offers a polite tip of his hat.

Refusing to be defeated, Sylvester cleverly makes his way to the desk clerk’s office, where he overhears Granny discussing her departure and the need for someone to retrieve Tweety and her luggage. Seizing the moment, he pretends to be a baggage handler, skillfully persuading Granny to hand over the cage and suitcases, believing he has finally outsmarted her.

With Tweety now seemingly within his grasp, Sylvester carries the cage to the alley, only to find himself confronted by an irate Granny. Armed with her trusty umbrella, she swiftly delivers a good whack to Sylvester, sending him reeling. Undeterred and determined to succeed, Sylvester devises an elaborate contraption made of a box, a plank, and some weights intended to breach Tweety’s window. While the plan ultimately backfires and inadvertently frees Tweety, Sylvester’s resolve remains unshaken.

In a climactic attempt to capture Tweety, Sylvester decides to swing across the street on electrical wires, narrowly dodging electrocution as a trolley makes its way towards him. In an unexpected twist, it is revealed that Tweety controls the trolley, with Granny seated beside him. As they roll away into the sunset, Tweety joyfully repeats his signature line once more, to which Granny agrees. The cartoon concludes dramatically with Sylvester getting zapped by the trolley as it speeds off into the distance, leaving a trail of chaos in its wake.
