Miss Quinn, a determined journalist, arrives at Statesville Mental Hospital to interview Warden Kane. She is led on a grim tour that revisits the institution's bloody history and introduces five infamous inmates. Kane briefly outlines the legends of Jeffrey Ramses (Animal the Cannibal), Dr. Suave, Walter Harris (The Taxidermist), Rocco the Clown, and Manual Dyer before the visit takes an ominous turn.

Miss Quinn reveals she is The Stitch Face Killer, and coldly murders Warden Kane and the guards. She uses the moment to spirit the inmates out of the hospital and into the world beyond the iron doors. The hospital tour collapses into a brutal escape as fear overtakes reason.

In the ensuing chaos, Manny identifies Dollface as his daughter Eileen, using the nickname to drive home the personal threat as violence erupts. The revelation shifts the inmates from legends to living dangers, deepening the night's nightmare. The sense that nothing and no one is safe intensifies.

Deputy Doyle and Sheriff Kate Dyer begin tracing the cascade of violence to a lurid theme park, the Land of Illusions Haunted Scream Park. They discover the park is built around the inmates' legends and has become a real stage for murder. The boundary between fiction and reality begins to blur as the night deepens.

Dennis, the park proprietor, crafts a macabre stage around the inmates' legends, blurring the line between show and slaughter. The attraction seduces guests even as danger grows closer to the audience. Illusion and carnage fuse into a dangerous, living show.

Rocco is unleashed to attack Dennis, dragging him into the maze as the killers seize control of the show. The park rapidly becomes a genuine killing field, with performers and patrons facing real danger. The line between entertainment and horror shatters in the chaos.

A tight-knit group from a diner—Morgan, Laurie, Christina, Jason, Mikey, and Randall—arrives at the park after work, with driver Gerardo staying on for a while. They notice the displays and assume the grisly acts are part of a staged scare. It quickly becomes clear that someone is really killing.

Kate revisits the motel crime scene and uncovers a link to Dollface. She teams with Doyle to regroup at the park, trading theories and preparing for a dangerous confrontation. The night shifts from investigation to survival as the park's danger closes in.

Christina is murdered after a moment of intimacy with Jason, confirming that the danger is real. The group learns they are cornered: the front gate is chained shut and the park's exit is a locked trap. Panic rises as the night moves toward a brutal showdown.
