A traveler and his wife reach the Usher mansion and find the siblings Roderick and Madeline afflicted with an illness: Roderick’s senses are heightened, while Madeline is catatonic. That night Roderick reveals a curse—when multiple Ushers live, the siblings go mad, meet horrific ends, and as days pass the curse builds to a terrifying climax.
