The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie

A dedicated scientist discovers an asteroid headed straight for Earth, raising immediate concerns for the planet's safety. To his astonishment, he also identifies a UFO traveling alongside the asteroid, but it mysteriously vanishes when he decides to investigate further outside.

Years earlier, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig were raised by a farmer named Jim, who left his belongings to them upon passing. This legacy came with a promise that the two would always stick together, setting the foundation for their future adventures.

In the present day, Daffy and Porky prepare for an inspection of their home, believing everything is in order. However, their optimism is shattered when the inspector, Mrs. Grecht, uncovers a large hole in their roof surrounded by green goo, giving them a mere ten days to fix it to avoid condemnation.

Struggling to keep jobs due to Daffy's outrageous antics, the duo meets Petunia Pig, a scientist at the Goodie Gum factory. She offers them a job, and without hesitation, they accept, hoping this could be their solution to save their home.

On their first day at the factory, Daffy notices the same green goo from their roof in a briefcase carried by a scientist. When he observes the scientist pouring it into the gum supply, his instincts lead him to suspect something sinister is afoot, but Porky dismisses his worries as paranoia.

The new gum flavor is launched worldwide, but Daffy's alarm grows when he sees that everyone chewing it begins to act like zombies. During a launch party, Daffy attempts to warn the crowd of the impending danger but humiliates himself, leading to his arrest.

Petunia Pig is tasked with investigating a sample of the mysterious gum. Her research uncovers that an alien invader is behind the contamination, transforming the gum into a monstrous entity to eliminate Daffy, Porky, and herself for interfering with its plans.

As the alien's plans unfold, Daffy, Porky, and Petunia devise a counter-strategy that involves spraying gum chewers with an extract meant to make them spit out the tainted gum. Porky, concerned for Daffy's unpredictable nature, instructs him to stay back and focus on producing more of the necessary extract.

Porky and Petunia carry out their plan and initially succeed in saving some townsfolk from the alien-infected gum. However, Daffy's decision to join the fray complicates matters, resulting in the destruction of their weapons and escalation of the chaos.

As the situation spirals out of control, Daffy and Porky find themselves captured by the alien invader, who now has control over the entire town. This leads to a fierce confrontation where they end up trapped in a laser cage, with the invader's plan nearing completion.

With the invader's power reaching critical levels, he initiates a plan to blow a bubble big enough to encompass the entire planet. Meanwhile, Daffy and Porky reconcile, working together to escape their confinement and rescue their friends just in time.

After escaping, they learn that the invader was actually trying to save the Earth from the asteroid heading towards it. The gum was an improvised defense mechanism to bounce the asteroid away, showcasing the invader's unusual approach to planetary protection.

Joining forces with the invader, the team heads to the asteroid’s weak spot to place the gum strategically. Daffy's wild antics inadvertently lead to a collapse of stalactite crystals that help aid their plan of destruction against the asteroid.

As they attempt to escape from the asteroid before it detonates, Daffy becomes stuck, causing a poignant moment where Porky refuses to leave his side, illustrating their deep bond. Unfortunately, they are too late, and the asteroid explodes before they can get away.

In the aftermath of the destruction, it is revealed that Daffy and Porky survived when they land back on Earth with a new gum flavor from the explosion. The town celebrates with boba tea, and the duo finds out about the life-changing insurance that allows them to rebuild their home.
