Following the nuclear catastrophe, inhabitants of New Asia, which includes regions like Southeast Asia and Japan, embraced AI technology. Their acceptance stood in contrast to Western nations, escalating tensions and leading to further conflict.

In response to the growing threat posed by AI, military forces developed the sophisticated space station USS NOMAD. This base was designed for executing deadly orbital strikes against AI forces to safeguard humanity.

U.S. Army sergeant Joshua Taylor and his pregnant wife Maya Fey operate undercover to gather intelligence. Their mission is complicated by suspicions surrounding Maya's lineage and her possible connection to Nirmata, the mastermind behind AI advancements.

Their home is raided by military forces, exposing Joshua's covert activities. Although Maya manages to evade capture, she is struck down by a military strike from NOMAD shortly after escaping.

Five years later, Joshua participates in the cleanup efforts in the devastated Los Angeles. During this time, he is contacted by General Andrews and Colonel Howell, who enlist him for a dangerous new mission against an AI weapon known as 'Alpha O.'

While infiltrating a compound in New Asia, Joshua encounters Alphie, a young robotic simulant with remarkable technological capabilities. Despite Colonel Howell's orders to eliminate her, Joshua chooses to protect her, realizing her potential.

Joshua meets Drew, his former commanding officer, who recognizes Alphie's extraordinary powers. Their discussion is interrupted when New Asian police arrive, leading to a tragic confrontation that results in Drew's death as he sacrifices himself for Joshua.
