In 1957, J.C. Cullen leaves his small town to pursue a lucrative career as a gambler in the city. His success at the Gem Club, a high-stakes gambling establishment owned by the formidable George Cole, draws him into a dangerous game. Cullen finds himself entangled with two captivating women, one of whom is Cole's wife, further complicating the situation. As Cole puts everything on the line in a craps game against Cullen, a tense confrontation unfolds, with only one man emerging victorious.
