By the 1980s, Enzo has firmly established himself as a world champion, celebrated for his extraordinary feats after rescuing a diver trapped in a Sicilian shipwreck. His accomplishment ignites a longing to reconnect with Jacques, who has been immersed in studying human anatomy alongside dolphins amid the icy lakes of the Peruvian Andes.

The plot thickens with the arrival of Johana Baker, a captivating insurance broker drawn to Jacques’ magnetic presence. Crafting a ruse to justify her attendance at the World Diving Championships in Taormina, Sicily, she seeks to rekindle their romance. Little do they all know that Jacques’s bond with the ocean holds an allure that is deeply rooted in his very being.

As the diving championship looms, tension mounts between Jacques and Enzo, who are now set to battle it out in an intense competition where every meter counts. The competitive landscape is intensified when Enzo gifts Jacques a crystal dolphin—a token that signifies their lifelong friendship and the narrow margin that has come to define their journeys.

Johana’s deception comes to light, prompting her to abandon her life in New York to join Jacques. Enthralled by legends of mermaids and their mystical allure, she embarks on an adventure that pushes them toward uncharted territories of human endurance.

As the World Diving Championships commence, Enzo’s record-breaking dives send tremors through the diving community while raising alarm among experts regarding the limits of human capability.
