Jo Doo‑soo, a gang member, intervenes when Joanna, a college student and diplomat’s daughter, is about to be robbed. She lives an upper‑class life; he drifts in the gang’s world. Their opposite backgrounds draw them together, and they fall in love. Joanna, a Christian, thinks if Doo‑soo abandons his criminal ways, he can become a new man.
