The first Seto‑language film follows Hilana Taarka, a folk singer who lived in a chimney‑less hut as a mother. She survived by begging, odd jobs and a voice that sang truth—bitter, funny, cruel. Feared and coveted, she rose from a Seto village to fame, becoming the “Mother of Song,” but her community never fully accepted the revered reviled woman.
