Deependra killed his family because they lied to him about an astrological prophecy. According to the priests, a marriage between Devayani and Deependra would fulfill a fatal prophecy that would lead to his death. Believing this lie, Deependra murdered his entire family in a desperate attempt to prevent the prophecy from coming true, only to later discover it was a false warning.

Ricky and Deependra swapped identities because they looked alike. After Deependra confessed his feelings to Devayani in Thailand, Ricky hatched a plan. Deependra would pretend to be Ricky, while Ricky would pretend to be Deependra and fake his own death to test Devayani's love. The swap was orchestrated to reveal Devayani's true feelings.

Devayani chose Ricky because her heart recognized his genuine love despite the deception. When she learned Ricky had actually been the one who died in the rainy night incident, she was horrified by the manipulation but affirmed that even if her eyes deceived her, her heart had already chosen Ricky. His selfless actions and character convinced her more than Deependra's obsessive devotion.

The film presents four different possible endings without declaring one as definitive. In the first, Deependra imagines shooting Ricky but abandons the plan. In the second, he considers killing Devayani but refrains. In the third, he contemplates suicide. In the fourth, he decides to serve his people and give back love rather than take it. The film leaves all four endings open as hypothetical possibilities.

Devayani was frightened of Deependra because of his intense, obsessive behavior and royal status. Even though Deependra claimed she was his girlfriend, she was too scared to tell him the truth about not loving him back. His extreme actions, including killing his family over a prophecy, demonstrated a dangerous intensity that terrified her.

The prophecy stated that marriage between Devayani and Deependra would fulfill a fatal astrological curse that would lead to Deependra's death. Deependra's family used this false prophecy to manipulate him, telling him that marrying Devayani would kill him. Believing this lie, Deependra murdered his entire family to prevent the marriage, only to later learn the prophecy was fabricated.

Ricky orchestrated the identity swap as a test of Devayani's love. He wanted to prove whether Devayani truly loved him or was only attracted to Deependra's royal status. By switching places and faking Ricky's death, Ricky could observe how Devayani would react, hoping to confirm her genuine feelings for him rather than material benefits.

The next morning, Ricky took Devayani on a jeep and revealed a shocking truth: the man who died the previous night after her emotional response to his self-mutilation was actually Ricky in disguise, not Deependra. The real Deependra had survived. This revelation flipped the entire narrative and led to Devayani's horrified realization about the deception.

According to the story, Devayani was never Deependra's girlfriend in a genuine sense. Ricky learned that Deependra's belief that Devayani was his lover was unreciprocated, and Devayani was too frightened of his intensity and royal status to correct him. Her true feelings had developed for Ricky during their encounters, particularly in Thailand.
