Abbanna begins as an actor and quickly becomes a director known for violent films. A producer's anger over his methods leads to his dismissal. Behind the public image, Abbanna is a smuggler with terrorist ties, aided by henchmen including the Home Minister and Prakash.

Roja, a petty thief, falls in love with Vijay. Her arrival adds a new layer of tension to Vijay's already dangerous life. Their budding romance becomes a counterpoint to the escalating conflict.

Abbanna's gang attacks Vijay, beating him severely and leaving him hospitalized. Roja stays to care for the kids and Vijay during the recovery. The threat from Abbanna's side continues to loom as the conflict escalates.

After his recovery, Vijay spots Ebrahim, a handicapped watchman, who shoots Abbanna in an attempt to kill him. This act escalates the confrontation between Vijay and Abbanna's faction. Vijay and his allies prepare for the consequences.

Ebrahim recounts Abbanna's past: two years ago he saw Abbanna's secret terrorist operations and informed the police. Abbanna retaliated by killing Ebrahim's family and crippling him. The revelation cracks open Abbanna's respectable façade and shifts the balance of power.

Bharathi, who had filmed crucial evidence, is hunted down by Abbanna's men and killed, with the incident staged as an accident. She had secretly hidden the video cassette that could expose Abbanna's crimes. Vijay learns that Bharathi did not die in an accident and that the cassette exists.

Abbanna discovers the hidden cassette and uses it to blackmail Vijay into surrendering. He kidnaps Renuka's children, threatening to release the footage unless Vijay obeys. The children’s safety hangs in the balance as the clock ticks.

Vijay faces a final confrontation, defeats Abbanna and his gang, and hands them over to the police. He is rehired as an inspector and finally marries Roja, bringing closure to the long struggle. The film ends with Vijay balancing his duty as a cop with his renewed family life.
