Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam

Black Adam was the original champion chosen by the Wizard Shazam five millennia ago. However, he used his magical powers for personal gain and revenge instead of protecting the innocent. The Wizard was forced to banish him into exile as punishment for his corruption.

The Wizard explains Adam's fall from grace when Billy enters the chamber of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Tawky Tawny is revealed to be a mystical guardian disguised as the homeless man Billy helped earlier in the film. He is a powerful being who can transform into a tiger. He serves as Billy's protector and assists in the final plan to banish Black Adam by taking the boy beyond the wizard's reach.
