Superman/Batman: Apocalypse

A spaceship lands in Gotham City Harbor weeks after Lex Luthor's arrest, and a girl with no known language emerges. Her Kryptonian-like powers unleash chaos until Batman exposes her to Kryptonite. Superman helps reveal her true identity as Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, setting the stage for her new life on Earth.

Superman welcomes Kara to Earth, teaching her English and helping her adjust to life on a new planet. Batman remains suspicious and wary of the powerful newcomer. Kara begins to understand Earth customs while learning to control her powers with guidance from Superman.

Tipped off by Batman, Wonder Woman and Lyla ambush Clark and Kara in a park and seize Kara to take her to Themyscira. Their goal is to start training Kara to better control her burgeoning powers. The move signals the start of a longer separation between Kara and Earth society.

Kara arrives on Themyscira for training to control her powers, under the watch of Wonder Woman and the Amazons. Superman remains connected, while Batman’s distrust of Kara lingers. The island becomes a temporary sanctuary and testing ground for her abilities.

While Batman and Superman check on Kara, a horde of Doomsday clones pours from Apokolips to Themyscira. The Amazonian army fights valiantly, and Superman vaporizes the clones with a single heat-vision blast. Lyla is killed by Darkseid's Omega Beams while attempting to prevent Kara's abduction.

Distraught by Lyla's death, Superman vows to avenge her and safeguard Kara. Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman regroup and vow to find and shield Kara from further danger. The resolve strengthens the alliance between Earth’s heroes and Kara’s future.

Seeing the depth of the threat, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman recruit Barda to help navigate Apokolips and to assist in rescuing Kara. The plan shifts from Earthly containment to a direct mission into Darkseid's realm. The team prepares for a perilous ascent into the war-torn world of Apokolips.

On Apokolips, Superman tears toward Darkseid's palace while Wonder Woman and Barda traverse the sewers into the fighting arena. Granny Goodness and the Female Furies ambush them, leading to a brutal confrontation that tests every ally’s resolve. The stakes escalate as Darkseid’s forces push back against the invaders.

Batman locates the Hell Spores, the fiery source of Apokolips's landscape, and activates them, shifting the battlefield's balance. The intensified conflict sets the stage for key choices about Kara's future and Darkseid's hold over her. The war on Apokolips rages on as the clock ticks.

Darkseid confronts the group and uses brainwashing to turn Kara against Superman. Batman reveals that he has activated the Hell Spores and issues an ultimatum: free Kara and leave Earth, or he will deactivate the Spores. Darkseid, impressed by Batman's tactic, reluctantly withdraws his immediate hold.

Superman defeats the brainwashed Kara, and Wonder Woman presents Granny Goodness to Darkseid as leverage. With the resistance broken, Darkseid allows the team to leave Apokolips, ending the immediate threat and restoring a fragile peace. Kara's path forward remains in flux, but hope persists.

Kara recovers on Themyscira, opening up about her fear that Darkseid exploited an inner darkness. Superman reassures her that Darkseid is a true evil, not merely a test of character. This moment solidifies Kara's resolve to master her powers responsibly.

Clark takes Kara to Smallville to meet his adoptive parents, a moment of quiet before the storm. Darkseid launches a surprise attack, blasting Superman into orbit and forcing Kara to stand against the tyrant alone. The fight tests Kara's training and resilience under immense pressure.

Kara wields the Mother Box to open a Boom Tube behind Darkseid while Superman distracts him, allowing them to push Darkseid away and escape. After freeing herself from Darkseid's reach, Kara changes her coordinates to a random spot in space, foiling Darkseid's next move. With renewed purpose, she embraces the hero name Supergirl and pledges to fight for altruism.

Having saved her cousin and found her place, Kara is celebrated by Wonder Woman, the Amazons, and Batman. Superman and Supergirl take flight together toward Metropolis to begin a new chapter as protectors of Earth. The alliance between Earth's heroes and Supergirl solidifies as they ride into the sunset.
