Family civility unravels over a few days at a vacation house where late‑middle‑aged Katha tries to manage disgruntled relatives. Her divorced daughter arrives with a friend and the friend’s unstable son; the grandfather believes he is dying, and friends leave their angry teenage son behind. Social‑worker Emma watches the chaos with detached fascination.
