Based on a true story, this thriller follows Lars Nystrom, who orchestrates a dramatic bank heist and hostage situation in Stockholm in 1973. As negotiations with authorities become protracted, a complex and unexpected relationship develops between Lars and Bianca, one of the hostages. Bianca begins to view him not as a captor, but as someone offering a strange form of salvation, blurring the lines between victim and perpetrator.
