Okabe Rintaro, a mad scientist, is haunted after failing to save Kurisu Makise and abandons his scientist persona to forget the past. When a colleague reveals a memory‑recording device that creates simulations he is drawn back, confronting a simulated Kurisu and tragedies. ‘Zero’ explores events in the Beta Attractor Field that lead to the ending.
