90‑year‑old Maria Altmann fought to recover five Gustav Klimt paintings stolen from her family by the Nazis. It covers her fin‑de‑siècle Vienna upbringing, daring escape, and a legal battle that reached the U.S. Supreme Court. After her 2006 victory, the 'Golden Portrait' sold for $135 million and the remaining four fetched record sums at Christie’s.
