Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

The film opens with the revelation that Emperor Palpatine has been sending transmissions across the galaxy, indicating he has survived and is still influential. Kylo Ren tracks him down, discovering Palpatine's continued existence through dark Force powers. Palpatine tasks Kylo Ren with bringing him Rey, setting the main conflict in motion.

Rey receives training under General Leia Organa to develop her Force abilities. Meanwhile, Poe, Finn, and Chewbacca work to gather intelligence on Kylo Ren's plans by seeking out a mole within the First Order. Rey's training also involves important missions with her new crew.

Rey, alongside C-3PO and BB-8, meet Lando Calrissian on a distant planet. Lando guides them to an artifact that could help locate Emperor Palpatine, which is a Sith-inscribed dagger. C-3PO interprets the Sith text, but cannot verbally translate it due to protocol restrictions.

Kylo Ren confronts Rey on a planet, resulting in a brief fight where Rey shows her growing powers by emitting Force lightning. Their Force bond intensifies, revealing their connection, and Rey’s confidence begins to rise.

C-3PO is able to translate the Sith inscription after sacrificing his memory, which is backed up in R2D2. The translation reveals that the Wayfinder, essential for locating Palpatine, is on a moon of Endor. Rey, Poe, and Finn plan to acquire it.

Rey, Poe, and Finn infiltrate a Star Destroyer to rescue Chewbacca, who has been captured. Poe and Finn are captured and ordered to be executed, intensifying the stakes. Rey fights Kylo Ren through their Force bond, and it is revealed that Rey is Palpatine’s granddaughter.

General Hux reveals himself as the mole, hoping to overthrow Kylo Ren after Snoke's murder. Hux releases prisoners but is discovered and killed by his superior, highlighting the ongoing power struggles within the First Order.

Rey finds the Wayfinder among wreckage of the second Death Star on the Endor moon. When she touches it, she envisions herself as a Sith Lord, showcasing her internal conflict and the dark potential within her. Kylo Ren destroys the Wayfinder after their fight.

Leia reaches out to Kylo Ren through the Force, influencing him to stop fighting Rey. Rey mortally wounds Kylo Ren, but Leia’s intervention allows Rey to heal him. Kylo Ren then discards his Sith identity, reverting to Ben Solo, signifying his redemption.

Rey travels to the Emperor’s planet using the Wayfinder and the guidance of Luke’s Force ghost, who provides her with a new lightsaber. She prepares to confront Palpatine while transmitting coordinates to the Resistance, establishing the film's climax.

Rey and Ben challenge the Emperor, who drains life from them to regain power. The Resistance fleet arrives to assist, and the Jedi voices bolster Rey’s strength. Using Luke and Leia’s lightsabers, she reflects Force lightning, killing Palpatine, but nearly dies in the process.

Ben Solo uses the last of his Force strength to resurrect Rey, sacrificing himself in the process. Rey and Ben share a final moment before he and Leia join the Force, ending the Sith’s threat. The Resistance celebrates victory, and the First Order is defeated.

Rey visits Tatooine, where she buries the twin lightsabers of her ancestors. She reveals her new identity as 'Rey Skywalker' to a passing local, signaling her embracing her new legacy and hope for the galaxy’s future.
