Linda makes it out through the window as the ladder is removed, causing Bobby to fall and vanish from sight. The group hopes they are safe, but fear he may still be alive and returns inside.

The group flees again and encounter Bobby, who relentlessly stabs Sara. Meanwhile, Bobby's search party heads toward their old family house to inform the police of his whereabouts and secure help.

Final confrontation and aftermath

Beth and Linda retreat to the basement, where Beth confronts the full horror of her past. Bobby attacks again; Linda defends herself with a shovel but is stabbed. Beth ultimately overpowers Bobby and stabs him in the neck, ending his threat. Police arrive as Beth is taken to the hospital, where she continues to have nightmares about her brother.
