At Doddsville County High School, Carol joyfully leads Marty towards the girls' locker room, where a group of students is waiting. As Marty steps into a shower stall, Carol reveals the outing to the crowd, who jeer at him with chants of 'April Fools!' as he stands half-naked and vulnerable.

After Marty faces humiliation, Stella voices her anger at him for the collective punishment they all receive as a result of the prank. The need for an escape from the situation leads Marty's friends to offer him a joint to alleviate his stress.

Deciding to indulge in the offer, Marty takes the joint during chemistry class, but it quickly backfires as he becomes ill. Realizing he can't handle it, he rushes back to the locker room, already overwhelmed by the events of the day.
