Willard Francis “Will” Slattery is a former Navy lieutenant whose daring on dangerous missions earned him both respect and a bitter sense of being undervalued. Disenchanted with the military’s rewards, he steps into civilian life as a private pilot for a charismatic candy magnate, hoping to find a smoother ride. The transition, however, brings him into a shadowy corner of the aviation trade where the line between legitimate cargo and something far more illicit grows increasingly thin.
