Linda is devoted to her work, which she equates with love itself. She relocates to the big city seeking fun and excitement, but instead faces exploitation and abuse at the hands of a succession of sleazy men. In her quest for love she begins a passionate lesbian relationship with a beautiful countess, gets drawn into drugs and swinger parties, and eventually acts in pornographic films, all while documenting her experiences in a secret diary.
