Single All the Way

Peter, a social media strategist in Los Angeles, feels exhausted by the constant questions from his family regarding his single status. Each holiday visit brings the same inquiries, adding to his frustration and prompting him to want a change.

Excited to finally bring a partner to meet his family, Peter plans to introduce his boyfriend, Tim, during the holiday trip to New Hampshire. However, his excitement quickly turns to devastation when he discovers that Tim is married, which complicates his plans.

In a bid to salvage his holiday, Peter convinces his best friend and roommate, Nick, to accompany him to New Hampshire and pretend to be his boyfriend. They embark on this charade to avoid Peter's family's probing questions about his romantic life.

Upon arrival, Peter's mother, Carole, surprises him with a blind date set up with her spinning instructor, James. Though initially reluctant, Peter agrees to the date, spurred on by encouragement from both Carole and Nick.

Peter's family gathers for the holidays, including his father Harold, his sisters Lisa and Ashleigh, and Aunt Sandy. The family dynamics shift as Harold expresses his belief that he and Peter would make a perfect couple, hinting at the deeper feelings between Peter and Nick.

Peter goes on several outings with James, including shopping for a Christmas tree and skiing. While these moments are enjoyable, Peter finds himself continually bringing up Nick, which creates a tension in his blossoming relationship with James.

As Peter spends more time with his family, he begins to reconsider his future, even contemplating moving back to New Hampshire. This idea concerns Nick, who feels a mix of hope and trepidation about the possibility of losing his best friend.

Peter receives a work call from his boss, who wants him to create a new advertising campaign featuring 'real people.' Under pressure to deliver within a short time frame, Harold suggests that Nick could be a great subject for the campaign, initiating a successful photoshoot.

Lisa's daughters, Sofia and Daniela, take it upon themselves to encourage a romantic relationship between Peter and Nick. They cleverly orchestrate a situation where Peter has no choice but to share a bed with Nick, hinting at their feelings for each other.

The Christmas pageant, directed by Aunt Sandy and aided by Peter and Nick, turns out to be a resounding success. The event further unites the family and creates a warm atmosphere, leading to deepening feelings between Peter and Nick.

After the pageant, Nick musters the courage to confess his feelings for Peter. However, Peter is still hesitant, fearing that pursuing a relationship could risk their cherished friendship, leaving a cloud of uncertainty between them.

As Peter prepares to celebrate the pageant's success with James, he grapples with conflicting feelings about his future. Meanwhile, Nick decides to leave for Los Angeles, feeling rejected and unsure of where he stands with Peter.

James, sensing the disconnect between him and Peter, candidly advises Peter that he is not the right match for him. He boldly states that Peter truly belongs with Nick, planting a seed of doubt in Peter's mind about his relationship choices.

Peter rushes to reconcile with Nick, discovering that Nick has prepared a heartfelt surprise by paying six months of rent for a shop Peter has always dreamed of opening. This gesture ultimately reveals Nick's feelings and commitment to their bond.

On Christmas Day, Peter confesses his love to Nick and they share a passionate kiss, sealing their newfound relationship. Subsequently, they proudly announce to the family that they're dating and planning to move to New Hampshire together, much to everyone's delight.
