Simmba

Growing up in Shivgad, Simmba witnesses police corruption firsthand as officers accept bribes. This bleak environment fuels his ambition to join the force and wield power. He dreams of a system where law and order bend to his will, even if it starts with bending the rules.

Early in his career, Simmba cashes in on bribes and enjoys the perks of a corrupt cop. The Home Minister signs off on his transfer to Miramar, moving him into a new arena of crime and temptation. The move marks the beginning of his deepening entanglement with lawbreaking.

Upon arriving in Miramar, he meets Shagun Sathe and is smitten at first sight. His junior, the honest constable Mohile, hesitates to salute him, foreshadowing a clash between integrity and corruption. This dynamic highlights the tension at the heart of his new assignment.

During a night at Durva's pub, Simmba disrupts the criminal party to squeeze more money from Durva and his brothers. He promises to allow their illegal activities to continue in exchange for bribes, proving his willingness to abuse policing power. The act cements his image as a corrupt officer in the eyes of the criminals.

Durva agrees to the extortion plan and uses Simmba to pressure Vaman Rao into signing away his land. Rao is coerced into the papers, expanding the illegal network connected to Simmba. This incident marks a pivotal turn toward personal gain over public duty.

Aakruti Dave files a complaint against Sada and Giri for drug dealing at their club and for using children as drug pushers. She secretly records incriminating footage inside the club, intending to hand it to the police. Simmba initially ignores her evidence, swayed by Durva and Shagun.

Sada and Giri assault Aakruti after her recording; Chhotu, her mute student, secretly films the crime and escapes. Kavya, Aakruti's friend, goes to Simmba to report Aakruti's missing person. The evidence sets in motion Simmba's suppressed sense of justice.

Aakruti is found fatally injured and taken to hospital, where she dies, devastating Simmba. The police recover her phone and the incriminating video, while Durva's goons attempt to seize the device from Simmba, triggering his resolve to change. This tragedy becomes the catalyst for his transformation.

Simmba dons the police uniform, and Mohile recognizes his transformation and salutes him as they arrest Sada and Giri. He apologizes to Vaman Rao and returns the land he swindled, signaling a concrete break with his former corrupt behavior. The shift marks a turning point from exploitation to enforcing the law.

In court, Aakruti's video is reportedly deleted, fueling Simmba's anger. He assaults Corporator David Cameron, who gives a false statement, resulting in his suspension. Simmba resolves to kill Sada and Giri in an encounter and present it as self-defense.

An SIT is formed to review Simmba's encounter and the surrounding crimes; Vinayak appoints a neutral officer to handle Aakruti's case. DCP Bajirao Singham arrives to rescue Simmba and fights off Durva's men. Singham corroborates that Simmba killed Sada and Giri in self-defense, turning the case on its head.

Durva is sentenced to seven years of rigorous imprisonment by the court. Singham explains that his intervention was meant to deter men who disrespect women, reinforcing the film's justice message. Simmba's path from corruption to accountability is now fully realized.

In a post-credits scene, Simmba chats with DCP Veer Sooryavanshi about his new post as ATS chief. Sooryavanshi hints that they will meet soon, signaling future collaboration or crossover.
