Regional Crime Unit officer Chan Kwok-ming and his wife Sammi Mok are on their way to finalize their separation when an armed robbery erupts in the street. Kwok-ming dives in to help pursue the criminals, but a stray bullet strikes Sammi, leaving her in a serious coma.

Months pass, and Sammi awakens. Her doctor, Ko Chuen, cautions her that her blood type is extremely rare and she must guard her health closely. With Kwok-ming often tied up at the station, she is left at home to recover, yet strange, vivid hallucinations begin to surface. In one vision, she spots a famous actress, Kitty Chow, being killed, and when she dares to doubt her own mind, she stumbles upon Kitty Chow’s corpse in a dim back alley—an eerie clue that unsettles her even more.

The strain at home grows as Sammi’s condition worsens, and Kwok-ming’s supervisor orders him to suspend personal time and focus on the case surrounding Kitty Chow’s murder. One night, he returns to find the apartment walls smeared with messages written in blood, a chilling sign that the danger is closer than he realized. Sammi’s mind spirals, and she wanders into traffic, prompting urgent medical attention and a psychiatric examination.

Meanwhile, Kwok-ming investigates another linked case—a lawyer’s murder that appears connected to Kitty Chow’s death. At the crime scene, he is startled when the lawyer momentarily comes back to life and is rushed to the hospital. There, doctors reveal the lawyer’s need for a rare blood transfusion—the very same rare blood type that Sammi carries. The investigation takes a suspenseful turn as the pieces begin to align, yet just as new possibilities surface, Sammi vanishes again, leaving everyone to confront a web of danger, memory, and unresolved truth.
