Sheena: Queen of the Jungle

American missionary doctors, Phillip and Betsy Ames, arrive in the African kingdom of Tigora. Accompanied by their young daughter, Janet, they aim to explore the healing properties of the soil in the Zambouli tribal region.

The family's mission is abruptly cut short when a cave within Gudjara Mountain collapses, resulting in the untimely deaths of Phillip and Betsy. Their orphaned daughter, Janet, is taken in by the Zambouli's female Shaman.

The Shaman declares Janet to be the 'golden god-child' foretold by prophecy and names her Sheena. The Zambouli people rejoice, believing Sheena will protect them and their land.

As years pass, Sheena grows into a strong woman, learning skills crucial for survival among the Zambouli tribe. She masters archery and even rides a zebra named Marika, showcasing her unique bond with nature.

Prince Otwani returns to Tigora after his time playing professional football in the United States. He discovers the rich titanium mineral found in Gudjara Mountain, igniting his ambition to exploit it.

Otwani devises a dark plan to assassinate his brother, King Jabalani, who has always protected the Zambouli lands from exploitation. He enlists the help of Countess Zanda, his duplicitous fiancée, to carry out his scheme.

During a lavish banquet at the royal palace, King Jabalani is unexpectedly struck down by an arrow. The chaos unfolds as Otwani feigns sorrow, while the truth about the assassination remains hidden.

American sports reporter Vic Casey arrives in Tigora to cover the story surrounding Prince Otwani. He and his cameraman Fletcher uncover alarming details about the king's murder while filming.

As Vic interviews the Shaman in prison, Sheena boldly executes a rescue, utilizing her animal friends to help her. Vic and Fletcher, awestruck by her abilities, follow her deeper into the jungle.

In a tense jungle encounter, Colonel Jorgenson is ordered to capture Sheena and her companions. Sheena commands a pride of lions to deter the henchmen while forging a bond with Vic.

Upon arriving at the Zambouli village of Z'kuru, Sheena and Vic witness the devastation caused by Otwani's soldiers. Fueled by rage, they plot to retaliate against their oppressors.

A helicopter interrupts Sheena and Vic's plan to ignite the enemy's fuel tanks, leading to a fierce showdown. Sheena’s instincts drive her to protect Marika, exemplifying her fierce connection to her animal companions.

With the conspiracy against King Jabalani revealed, Sheena rallies the Zambouli to confront Otwani's forces. In an epic battle involving wild animals, the Zambouli prevail, forcing the soldiers to retreat.

After the battle, despite his injuries, Vic is saved as the Zambouli administer the healing soil to him. Their experiences deepen their bond as Vic contemplates a future with Sheena.

As they part, Vic and Sheena declare their love for one another, with Vic promising to return one day. However, he acknowledges the exploitation that will await should he take her to New York.
