After Tokugawa Iemitsu dies in 1650, ronin are expelled from Edo and chaos spreads. Hattori Hanzo's Iga ninjas clash with rival Koga forces while factions vie for power. The infant shogun Ietsuna is kidnapped but hidden in a castle turret guarded by a fire‑spitting black ninja. Hanzo must breach traps to save the child.
