Edgar, a ruthless murderer noted for having virtually no scruples, receives a grim diagnosis from the prison doctor, Lucy, who tells him he has only a few days left to live. Desperate to survive, driven by the fear of his imminent death, he takes Lucy hostage and forces a violent breakout, escaping the prison.
