Once in Los Angeles, the band decides to swap Hannah, Rachel and Jon with their copies during a music video shoot after failing to get close to their doubles at a live concert. The clones reveal the eerie ritualistic routines that bind them to their roles. The plan marks a new, more covert approach to confronting the clones.

During a CD signing, the originals learn the Hannah, Rachel and Jon copies have no belly buttons, revealing their artificial nature.
