Set in Liverpool, this 1984 Channel 4 drama, based on the BBC Play‑For‑Today story “Scully’s New Year’s Eve”, was written by Alan Bleasdale and runs six half‑hour episodes plus a one‑hour finale. Teenager Francis Scully dreams of a Liverpool FC trial, imagining stars like Kenny Dalglish.
