Přívlaky grammar school pupils are barred from a sports competition after troublemaker Krhounek gives teacher Lejsal a copy of the student magazine Roar and the author refuses to admit it. Benetka criticises school in an essay, leading the teacher to blame him and seek expulsion. When author, Boukal, confesses, class wins, yet Benetka is punished.
