Teenage Jitka Pažoutová, overweight and clumsy, dreads gym classes taught by the well‑meaning teacher Bohoušek. During a dodge‑ball match her powerful throw—her “guns”—wins the game. At the tournament she meets Honza Koubek, who first insults her, then apologises and encourages her to try shot put, revealing her hidden strength.
