Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary

In the Himalayas, Aiolos is gravely wounded while defending the infant Athena from treachery. He reveals that the Pope branded him a traitor and escapes with the baby to safeguard her reincarnation. With his last Cosmo, Aiolos entrusts the Sagittarius Cloth to Tatsumi and dies, leaving a silent pledge to protect Athena.

Sixteen years have passed. Saori Kido lives under Mitsumasa Kido's secret guardianship with Tatsumi. An assassin is sent to terminate her, but Seiya and the Bronze Saints intervene to shield her. Tatsumi hints that Saori is the reincarnation of Athena, and the group pledges to protect her from renewed threats.

Aiolia, the Leo Gold Saint, arrives to reclaim the Sagittarius Cloth and kill Saori, believing she is a counterfeit Athena. Tatsumi hands over the sacred garment, but Saori’s Cosmo proves her identity and Aiolia’s doubt grows. He warns them to seek Sanctuary to prove the truth of her divine identity.

The Sagitta Silver Saint fires an arrow at Saori, attempting to complete the mission. Ikki, the Phoenix Bronze Saint, intercepts and burns the assassin alive, halting the mission before it can reach the Pope. The Bronze Saints press on toward Sanctuary with renewed resolve.

Seiya and the Bronze Saints navigate Aries and Taurus Palaces on their way to Sanctuary. Mu initially misreads them but ultimately guides them forward, and Aldebaran’s stance shifts to support their mission. The pair forge new alliances that strengthen their protection as they advance.

At Taurus Palace, Seiya defeats Aldebaran in combat, proving their resolve. Aldebaran's change of heart leads him to join Mu in vowing to protect Athena while the Bronze Saints press onward. This alliance strengthens the group against Sanctuary’s deeper plots.

In Cancer Palace, Deathmask uses teleportation to push Hyōga and Shiryu toward the Underworld. Hyōga ends up in the Aquarius Temple, where he faces his master Camus in a fierce duel and defeats him; Camus delivers a final vow to protect Athena. The duel marks a turning point in the Bronze Saints’ mission.

Seiya and Shun arrive at Leo Palace and face Aiolia’s assault, a test of their readiness. The fierce confrontation pushes them to their limits, but their resolve and friendship carry them forward. Their encounter also hints that Aiolia’s loyalties may shift as the path to Sanctuary unfolds.

Virgo Gold Saint Shaka arrives to halt Aiolia’s aggression and offers the Bronze Saints safe passage toward Sanctuary. His intervention eases the path and signals a potential reconciliation among the Saints. The team continues the journey with renewed hope.

In Scorpio Palace, Seiya and Shun push their limits against Scorpio Miro as they move toward the Sagittarius Palace. The duel tests their growing mastery and their willingness to sacrifice for Athena. The climb toward Sanctuary intensifies as they edge closer to the climactic encounter.

Back at Cancer Palace, Saori arrives with Mu and Aldebaran and revives Shiryu and Hyoga, yet she herself grows weaker as Athena’s divine presence wanes. The Saints rally to defend her life and preserve Athena’s light amid mounting danger. The fate of Athena, and thus Sanctuary, hangs in the balance.

Ikki returns to Shun’s side and confronts Shura in a dramatic duel, delivering a pivotal victory that disrupts Sanctuary’s defenses. Milo reminds the Gold Saints that their mission is to protect Athena above all else. The balance of power begins to tilt in favor of the Bronze Saints.

Shaka reveals that the Pope deceived Aiolos and that the real traitor lies within Sanctuary. The Gold Saints join forces with the Bronze Saints to challenge a colossal statue brought to life and to safeguard Athena’s protector. The revelation reframes the war and sets the final confrontation in motion.

Seiya taps into the Seventh Sense, gaining a surge of power that gives him the edge against Saga. Saga merges with a living statue to intensify his assault on Sanctuary. The Sagittarius Cloth envelops Seiya, enabling him to rescue Saori and defeat Saga with a decisive arrow, saving Sanctuary and the world.
