Roommates* unfolds within the pressure-cooker world of Walton University, where the promise of reinvention draws fresh faces each fall. The film opens with a present-day framing device: Dean of Student Life Robyn Schilling sits down with two current dorm roommates, Luna and Auguste, whose mounting friction threatens their living situation.
