Remo

Siva, a theatre actor, dreams of becoming a superstar like Rajinikanth but struggles with romantic scenes. He is rejected by director K. S. Ravikumar during the audition for Avvai Shanmugi 2, highlighting his limitation in acting romance on screen. This setback steels his resolve to prove himself in cinema.

Siva meets Kavya, a doctor, and falls in love at first sight. He goes to Kavya's house to propose, only to learn she is already engaged to Dr Vishwanath (Vishwa). He hides his disappointment but resolves to win her despite the obstacle.

As Remo, he disguises himself as a woman nurse to get closer to Kavya. He takes up a job in the same hospital where Kavya works, carefully concealing his true identity. He keeps his plan a secret, aiming to win Kavya's affection without revealing who he really is.

As Remo, he forms a close friendship with Kavya but cannot convince her to end her engagement. On Kavya's birthday, Remo orchestrates a grand surprise and, as Siva, publicly proposes to her. The contrast between Remo's care and Siva's boldness fuels Kavya's mixed feelings.

Kavya falls for Siva but is torn between his true self and Vishwa. Siva continues to juggle both identities, using Remo to get closer to Kavya while plotting to break her engagement. The ruse deepens as Kavya's affection grows.

Kavya finally admits her feelings for Siva, but Vishwa prepones their wedding to the very next day after catching her sharing a moment with Siva. The sudden development puts Kavya in a difficult position, forcing her to choose whether to follow her heart. Siva's hope rises even as the clock runs out.

Kavya decides to end her engagement and leave home to be with Siva. Vishwa arrives with goons to force Kavya away; Remo (Siva) protects Kavya and defeats them, then rushes to the hospital to tend to a terminally ill orphan named Nancy.

At the hospital, Nancy begs Remo to 'change himself' and become a man for her sake. Following Nancy's prompt, Siva removes his Remo disguise, revealing his true identity to Kavya. Betrayed and hurt, Kavya berates him for cheating, and Siva pleads for another chance, but she remains reluctant.

A few months later, Kavya's bus companion—a gruff old man—turns out to be Siva in disguise. He reveals his lingering attraction and, after scolding him for past deceit, Kavya softens and asks him to marry her.

Siva finally achieves his dream of acting alongside his best friend Vallikanth in a movie that appears to tell his life story, Remo Nee Kadhalan, directed by K. S. Ravikumar. Kavya, played by Sri Divya as Dr. Divya, becomes his real-life partner as the film closes. The ending ties his on-screen success to his personal redemption.
