Gauche and Link lead a gang to rob the express train carrying $400,000 and a ceremonial tachi destined for the president. Gauche steals the gold-handled tachi and kills one of the ambassador's samurai bodyguards. Dynamite is thrown into Link's car, leaving him badly injured and presumed dead.
