Percy Winthram, a naive young man still living with his mother, travels to London for the Cup Final with his friends. He ends up in a Soho strip club, where he meets the blonde hostess Cyrenne. After accepting a bet from his friend Ginger, he follows her to her flat, expecting a night of bravado, but his drunkenness exposes his innocence and vulnerability, revealing his lack of experience.
