Three intoxicated boys violently assault Emiko, the wife of a chicken farmer with whom they have formed a friendship. During the attack she suffers a fatal heart attack. Grief‑stricken, her husband cannot accept her loss and continues to tend to her body as if she were still alive, unable to confront her death.
