In 1989 Texas, notorious war criminal Andre Toulon struggles with the horrors of his past. Despite his attempts at forming a relationship, he is disgusted upon discovering the bartender's sexual orientation.

In a fit of rage over the bartender's orientation, Toulon unleashes his malevolent puppets. That very night, they gruesomely eliminate the bartender and her lover, showcasing Toulon's twisted sense of justice.

Fast-forwarding to the future, rookie police officer Carol Doreski pursues Toulon to his lavish mansion. After a tense standoff involving a firearm, Doreski apprehends him, bringing some closure to Toulon’s past actions.

In 2019, Edgar Easton struggles to regain control of his life after a messy divorce. He tries to reconnect with his childhood crush Ashley Sommers while dealing with the aftermath of his fractured relationship.

Edgar's nostalgia leads him to discover a peculiar puppet named 'Blade.' This puppet, once belonging to his late brother, ignites an obsession in Edgar to learn more about its origins, leading him to Toulon.

Edgar and Ashley embark on a road trip to the Brass Buckle Hotel, where an auction for Toulon’s creations is set to occur. Excitement fills the air as they prepare for a weekend filled with nostalgia and history.

Upon their arrival at the hotel, Edgar and Ashley are met with bizarre occurrences, such as ghostly phone calls and the puppet moving on its own. The unsettling atmosphere foreshadows the horrors to come.

During a spine-chilling tour of Toulon’s mansion, the group learns about his grim legacy of horror and torture. Guided by Carol Doreski, they uncover the dark roots of Toulon's wealth and power.

As the night progresses, Edgar and Ashley discover that 'Blade' has vanished mysteriously. Their report to the receptionist is dismissed, heightening their sense of paranoia amidst the hotel's eerie ambiance.

As night falls, a series of shocking murders erupt, targeting marginalized individuals. Edgar begins to sense a horrifying connection between the killings and Toulon’s grotesque legacy.

Cuddly Bear, the enigmatic bartender, rallies the crowd’s spirits as they attempt to escape. However, their hopes are soon shattered by an overwhelming onslaught of Toulon's violent puppet creations.

Survivors, including Edgar and Ashley, gather for safety, mentally mapping their precarious situation. Tensions rise when Markowitz unwittingly summons a puppet in the kitchen during a Hanukkah prayer.

During a chaotic rescue mission proposed by Markowitz, they suffer a tragic loss. As the bartender falls victim to the puppets, Markowitz advises Edgar and Ashley to escape through a dumpster.

In an effort to end the terror, Edgar drives his truck into Toulon’s mausoleum, inadvertently resurrecting Toulon as a zombie. This resurrection culminates in a shocking and brutal finale as Toulon slays Ashley.

Eventually, Edgar achieves success as a comic book artist, chronicling his traumatic experiences. However, his silence regarding Toulon's fate leaves a haunting question lingering, reflecting the scars of his past.
