In 1953, the fathers of two young Italian children arrange for them to marry. Twenty-one years later, despite shifting social norms and the rise of the 1970s liberation movement, the pair are still expected to fulfill their childhood promise, facing repercussions if they don't. The story explores themes of tradition, expectation, and the changing landscape of love and family.
