Colonel Michael Donovan, Victor McLaglen is a battle-hardened soldier of fortune and a former U.S. Marine captain who has grown tired of babysitting the spoiled playboy George Foster in Paris. When revolutionaries Valdis and Ledgard recruit him to kidnap King Peter II, Freddie Bartholomew accepts the dangerous assignment. Donovan’s wary pragmatism clashes with Foster’s reckless bravado as the two men set out on a mission that promises danger, excitement, and a possible reshaping of a Balkan regime. The gypsy camp becomes a conduit for crucial information, as Sonia transmits a vital message to Gino revealing Peter’s location.
