Pound Puppies and the Legend of Big Paw

On the way to the museum, Whopper tells his niece and nephew about how Puppy Power first emerged when humans could communicate with Pound Puppies and Purries. He recounts the ancient tale of Arthur and Digalot discovering Excalibur and the Bone of Scone, which unlocked their bond. In the Dark Ages of the 950s AD, Arthur and his dog Digalot pull the legendary sword Excalibur and the Bone of Scone from a single magical stone, and they soon discover they can understand one another. The Bone’s power begins to bind them across species. The giant guardian Big Paw keeps the Bone safe to prevent its misuse.

Sir McNasty, the Black Knight, witnesses Arthur's coronation and plots to conquer the world by retrieving the Bone of Scone. He learns the Bone's power can be weaponized by the right hands, while Big Paw is tasked with guarding it. The threat of his ambition sets the stage for centuries of conflict.

In the 1950s, the Bone of Scone sits in a museum in an unnamed American city. Tammy and Jeff announce an adoption bazaar to commemorate the bone's thousand-year anniversary. Marvin McNasty, the direct descendant of Sir McNasty, arrives at the Pound with designs on seizing the bone.

Whopper tries to warn his friends, but Cooler, the Pound Puppies' leader, doesn't believe him. Marvin McNasty activates his Mean Machine to transform the puppies into vicious guard dogs and to steal the Bone of Scone for his World Domination plan. The threat looms over the adoption event.

During the henchmen's attempt to steal the Bone of Scone, it is broken in two, and Puppy Power is lost as a result. Whopper grabs one half and takes it back to the Pound to keep it safe from capture. The division of the bone marks a turning point in the quest.

The henchmen kidnap Whopper and Collette and seize the half-bone to move it out of sight. Cooler and the rest of the Pound Puppies mobilize, heading out to rescue them and reclaim the bone.

Collette and Whopper manage a brief escape from McNasty's lab and briefly reunite with the other Puppies. However, McNasty's henchmen quickly recapture them, renewing the peril for their friends.

Puppies and Purries pursue the villains through perilous paths and end up trapped in a rat-infested cave, hanging on a rope. The Purries manage to pull them to safety, turning a deadly trap into a narrow escape. The search for the bone continues with renewed urgency.

The group becomes trapped in a mire, but the legendary Big Paw arrives to lend aid and guide the rescue. His intervention strengthens the unlikely alliance of Puppies and Purries against McNasty's plans. The looming threat is pushed back, but not yet defeated.

The Puppies attempt to enter McNasty's house and are captured, then transformed into guard dogs by the villainous device. Cooler escapes by posing as a Purry to exploit McNasty's allergy to cats, buying the team crucial time to regroup.

Big Paw returns to town with Cooler and the Purries, rallying the Puppies to retake the pound and breach the museum. They glue the Bone of Scone back together, restoring Puppy Power and turning the tide against McNasty and his henchmen.

The Mean Machine defeats its masters as the villains are turned toward the side of good. Big Paw and Nose Marie retrieve the Bone of Scone from their clutches, ensuring its safety for the moment. The victory seals the bond between guardians and their canine friends.
