Porky and his rival set their sights on the farm's biggest homegrown prize. He meticulously plans a box of seeds, counting each planting detail one by one. The rival's attention is seized by his own bottle mixtures, while Porky quietly drafts his strategy.

The neighbor works on a bizarre mixture, mixing several bottles together for his chickens. He tests the concoction by feeding it to the birds, hoping for dramatic, fast results. Porky watches from a distance, unaware of how this will spark trouble.

Porky discovers a bottle of quick grow, a hair tonic, and decides to try it on his garden. To his astonishment, the plants respond with rapid growth, giving him an edge he hadn’t expected. He keeps the discovery to himself and heads inside.

As the neighbor ushers his fat, fed chickens toward the prize area, a bottle spills and the pills are ingested by the birds, causing them to grow twice as large. The crowd gasps as the contest's balance tilts in a dramatic, cartoonish turn.

The iris-out moment arrives as Porky is about to be overlooked, but the chickens suddenly shrink back to eggs. Porky seizes the moment and grabs the prize money back from his shocked Italian neighbor, reclaiming rightful victory.
