This film stars a remarkable cast including Maya Erskine, Jack Quaid, and Beck Bennett, alongside notable performances by Ed Begley Jr., Rosalind Chao, and Perrey Reeves.

The story unfolds with a series of heartfelt wedding toasts that feel like genuine moments pulled from YouTube clips. These varied settings pair with speakers who offer a blend of lighthearted and affectionate humor about the couples. Soon, we find Ben (Jack Quaid) preparing his best man toast, a nostalgic recount of a childhood sleepover with the groom. He shares this with his college friend, Alice (Maya Erskine), who provides him with insights on what truly makes a wedding speech resonate.

Ben expresses that the toast serves as “one man’s heartfelt truth spoken publicly to another man who happens to be getting married and leaving me behind forever.” However, Alice counters his sentimental view, stating, “A wedding speech is just making people laugh.” With the opportunity to impress the girl he almost lost touch with from college looming at the wedding, Ben takes Alice’s advice to heart.

The toast proves to be a resounding success, yet the one who got away is now engaged, leaving Ben feeling embarrassed and alone. Meanwhile, Alice has recently experienced a tough break-up. Facing a season filled with weddings, they strike a deal to accompany each other as plus ones for ten events. This arrangement helps them face the festivities, including toasts, photo booths, and unexpected romantic encounters, until they begin to realize the undeniable chemistry blossoming between them.
