Pizza, Beer, and Cigarettes

On the outskirts of Buenos Aires, a small group of squatters—Megabom, Pablo, Frula, and Sandra—live in a crowded house and sustain themselves by stealing. They drift through the city looking for quick targets and risky scores. Their makeshift family is stressed by poverty, pregnancy, and the constant threat of trouble.

After quitting their crooked taxi driver employer, Frula and Cordobés attempt to steal from a crippled street vendor. The robbery goes wrong, drawing attention and ending with Sandra's arrest. The group is shaken by the consequences of their actions.

Sandra is released after a short time in jail and demands that Cordobés change his ways. He promises to seek legitimate work and leave crime behind.

Motivated by Sandra's future, Cordobés starts looking for more profitable scores and shares the plan with his friends. He dreams of moving to Uruguay with Sandra.

Frula arranges a job with his contact Rubén to rob a fancy restaurant using unreliable guns. Rubén drives them to the spot, but the target turns out to be ordinary; an alarm triggers, forcing a sloppy escape, and Rubén cuts ties while paying Cordobés a miserly amount.

With time running out, they set their sights on a local nightclub. Pablo and Cordobés reestablish contact with the cab driver, beat him to steal his money and guns, and a middle-aged passenger from Córdoba they drop off discreetly calls the police. The stolen cab is tracked by police as the plan unfolds.

Inside the nightclub, the group moves to take the money while Pablo acts as a distraction and Megabom keeps watch outside. The bouncer grows suspicious after noticing a gun swap between Pablo and Megabom, heightening tension. The plan presses toward a dangerous crescendo.

Cordobés steps out with a gun, but a nightclub bouncer shoots him in the chest. Pablo retaliates and kills the bouncer, escalating the violence.

Outside the club, a pursuing policeman arrives and subdues Megabom after he provokes him from behind. Frula, enraged, fires at the officer but is quickly shot down. Cordobés and Pablo escape in a cab with the rest of the loot.

After escaping, Pablo and Cordobés reach the docks in a stolen car, with Pablo carrying the badly wounded Cordobés. He hands Cordobés the money to enable Sandra to leave with him, while Pablo stays behind to surrender to the authorities.

Cordobés drags himself to the water's edge at the docks, realizing the boat will leave without him. He reunites with Sandra and confesses he couldn't keep his promise, urging her to go with their baby. They kiss farewell as the boat pulls away.

Moments later, police arrive and discover Cordobés's dead body on the dock, ending the group's flight. The radio confirms the grim outcome as the case closes.
